why canada?

I replied. "Why do you ask? Do you want it all just for yourself? It's not like you can do all the jobs in the country alone."

Canada has consistently ranked in the recent years as one of the top four best destinations in the world to study. It is so as it provides world class education with a plentiful of other benefits. Lets have a look at them individually:

1)QUALITY EDUCATION AND HIGH ACADEMIC STANDARDS. SCHOLARSHIP AVAILABILITY:

A Canadian university degree is considered high value and recognised globally as an equivalent to the likes of US, Australia and other European degrees as the education standards are at par with them.

Additionally, there is the advantage of being more affordable in comparison as Canada offers several scholarships to students.

2)EASY IMMIGRATION PATHWAYS FOR STUDENTS OF HIGHER EDUCATION:

After the completion of their studies, students are provided with a post graduation work permit so that they can get Canadian work experience, which eventually gets them additional points and helps in getting permanent residency in a smooth manner.

There are also some pathways in certain provinces, including British Columbia, where students can literally plan their permanent residence. no work experience is required after recieving certain degrees. Just having studied that course makes a person eligible for PR. Easy peasy. The professions are mainly related to science though.

3)WORK WHILE STUDYING :

International students with a study permit are allowed to work atleast 20 hours per week., and 40 hours or more during holidays. With Canada having a solid system of respectful minimum wage, students are able to support their living expenses to a large extent if they chose to do so.  Not only that, minimum wage has been growing in some provinces in the recent years.

3)CAMPUS ACTIVITIES :

Many events take place on campuses. Students can be a part of these depending upon their likes and have a memorable student experience.

4)QUALITY OF LIFE:

Canada has consistently been ranked at the top for having the best quality of life. What quality of life truly means gets understood only after you live here. But generally speaking, it is measured by weather, multicultural society, respectful and welcoming people, active lifestyle, lots of fun and adventure activities(like kayaking, windsurfing etc that can be pursued even while studying as sometimes they are in the same city where you live), to name a few.

5)EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES:

Canada is the land of new employment opportunities. A large population of Canada is older in age and fewer people are having children. This leads to a big number of job openings each year. To top it all, newer jobs are created every year with increasing immigration. The government policies encourage job creation. So there is more work than you can do. Get your gears ready!

7)CARE AND SAFETY:

It is one of the safest places in the world to live in. About Vancouver, a friend once jokingly said,"I mean what is the worst that can happen to you? your bicycle gets robbed. Haha!" That stuck with me.

The government cares about you. You know it from the minute you land. One proof of it all is the new government policies supporting anyone who has graduated from Canada becoming eligible for PR appication for a temporary period of time during the pandemic.

Canada rewards good work and takes care of its own!

If you are studying or intend to study in Canada and you are not a Canadian citizen or PR, you are an international student and will pay the fees accordingly. In most cases, you need a study permit  to be authorised to study in Canada. If your course of study is shorter than 6 months, you are exempt from this requirement. There are other exceptions to this rule. Please consult Cadway Immigration for further information.

In most cases you need to apply for a study permit outside Canada. Only a few cases may apply from within Canada.

Note : It is important that you comply with the conditions specified on your study permit to avoid non compliance. Non Compliance is serious and may render you inadmissible to recieve any visa in the future.
